PeArLS, PEarLS and more pEaRLs!

 Pearls. We always see them in fashion mags and runways and have seen them adorned on the famous celebrities, yet my generation and younger ones have yet to really make them a staple in our jewelry collection. We have been rocken the faux pearl which of course are cheaper than the real deal. Yet, do you want to be proposed to with a fake diamond ring?

Of course people will always try to to have the knock off of things but soon, the AUTHENTIC PEAL will be sought out soon. In droves.  BoNa fIde PeArlS.

Pearls have always been a staple in a womans  jewlery collection.... Coupled with diamonds... of course. They have always been in fashion shoots and used on models. But pearls haven't really become big with the masses since their hayday in the 20's-50's. It is now time for the come back of the pearl.

 Having a nice jewelry collection will never go out of style. Authentic stones and jewels will always be fashionable. So if you haven't really started an authentic jewel, Jewelry colletion. Now might be the time to start

Pearls don't always have to be dressed up either. They can be worn with jeans or rocked out. Years ago Pearls were more of a dressed up accessory. Now I think it will move to an everyday staple for a while.

 And since Real pearls aren't in that high of a demand " right now" you can still get them relatively cheap.  The best place I gotten pearls. Good ones?.. Here is a secret I am going go give to you.... Pawn Shops! You can get anything pearl in pawn shops and they really don't charge much for them since right now they are in low demand. So get them while you can! Pearl earrings, rings, bracelets you can get them all for under $100.00 if you bargain shop. You can also haggle the price, cause they would really rather get your money than not.

                             Easy Test for real for faux pearls

* Tooth Test
Rub the pearls lightly along the biting edge of your upper front teeth. If they feel gritty or sandy, they are real pearls. If they feel smooth, they are probably imitations.
* Friction Test
Take two pearls then lightly rub one against the other. If they feel gritty or sandy, they are real pearls. If they feel smooth, they are not real.
*Surface Magnification
Magnify the surfaces of the pearls with a magnifier. If they look grainy, the beads are imitation pearls. If they look scaly, maze-like, they are real pearls. (Under 64-power magnification)

* Flaw Test
Examine the pearls for flaws. If they appear flawless and unnatural perfection, they might be imitation.
*Matching Test
Observe the whole pearl jewelry piece, their shape, luster, size, and color. Imitations can perfectly match while real pearls tend to be variations.
* Overtone Test
Imitation is lack of overtone. Real pearls have various overtones.
*Drilled-Hole Test
The pearl nacre coating is thicker than the coating of imitations. Therefore, you may find a clear dividing line between the nacre and nucleus from the real pearl's drilled-hole.
Also a real peal will be cooler in you hand when you first touch it and will take some time to warm. Where as a faux pearl will be warm when you first touch it.

 Pearls are a sexy yet sophisticated accessory. They are definitely going to be new to these generations. I am excited to see how people will pair them with their clothing and other accessories.

Have Fun!!!!!
